Windsor Police have released a composite sketch of a person they say sexually assaulted women in their 20s back in August by luring them into his van for rides.

In the first case, on Sunday August 11th, police say a victim reported that she was in the 500 block of Goyeau Avenue shortly after midnight. A blue van pulled up and offered her a ride. The victim got in the front passenger seat of the van. Within seconds of being in the van, the victim indicated that the suspect driver began groping her breasts. The victim was screaming at him to stop the vehicle.

The van travelled Eastbound on Wyandotte Street East and turned south on Parent Avenue. As the van turned the corner, the van slowed down, and the victim managed to jump out of the vehicle. Witnesses in the area ran and rendered assistance to the victim. She was not injured. The van sped away from the area.

The victim then took a cab home from Parent Avenue and Wyandotte Street East and called police. Witnesses indicate that the van was a greyish silver mini van and was older, possibly from the 90’s. The plate started with an “s” and the numbers were close to “175”. The driver is described as being an Arabic male, in his 30’s with a dark full head of hair. He had no facial hair and was wearing a white t-shirt with blue or green stripes on it. He spoke with an accent.

Then on Sunday August 25th around 1:30am, a female victim told police that she was approached near Wyandotte and Victoria by a male suspect driving an older model light coloured minivan. The male suspect asked the woman if she wanted a ride.

Police say the suspect drove the victim to an unknown parking lot in the West end of the City. The victim has indicated that she attempted to get out of the van but the suspect was able to keep the door shut. He punched the victim in the face, and sexually assaulted the victim. After the assault, the victim got out of the van and called a friend who contacted police.

The suspect is described as being Arabic with thick dark hair and a slender build. Police say he spoke with a slight accent.
