A home invasion yesterday has police looking for clues and hoping to get information from a victim with head injuries.

Police were called to the 4500 block of Grand Marais Road East, Monday morning, by a woman who found her boyfriend unconscious and bleeding from his head.

The 38-year-old victim was treated by firefighters and EMS and taken to hospital with severe bruising and swelling to his head.

Police say the front door of the home had been forced open.

The victim’s injuries are considered serious but non life threatening.

Detectives are hoping to speak to the victim at hospital today to find out what transpired.
