Today, the Lakeshore Horse Racing Association signed an agreement with the Ontario government for $64,000 in transition assistance to hold four days of racing at the Leamington Racetrack.
Four race days will be held on September 22nd, September 29th, October 6th and October 13th.
The Leamington racetrack is a half-mile flat track in the Leamington and District Agricultural Society Fairgrounds, in the past has hosted one officially sanctioned race date each June during the town’s annual fair.
