Another UWindsor Strike Averted

A strike that would have shut down food outlets across campus has been averted.
CUPE Local 1001 which represents 118 full-time and 202 part-time housekeeping, grounds, maintenance and food services staff say that thy reached the tentative agreement at 4am Saturday with the University of Windsor.
There had been a strike deadline of 12:01am Monday in place.
A ratification meeting will be held Sunday afternoon.
CUPE 1393 which represents approximately 281 technical, trades and professional staff still remains on the picket line, with no new talks planned. They went on strike on September 8th.
