Tickets go on sale today for Windsor’s first craft beer festival.

The region’s first festival dedicated to craft beer will take place on the weekend of October 18th and 19th. Craft brewers from across the province, including Windsor Essex, will be participating in the highly anticipated event.

“Rather than holding the event in a plaza, we are opting for a good ol’ fashion neighbourhood party,” explains festival organizer, Adriano Ciotoli, co-owner of WindsorEats. “The event will take place across the street from the recently opened Walkerville Brewery and include craft brewers from across the province as well as local brewers, Motor Craft Ales.”

The event is about local culture, the resurgence of Walkerville Brewery & the burgeoning craft beer movement happening across the province. There will be local entertainment, craft beers, good eats and throughout the day there will even be an ode to the brew.

“Since the festival takes place in a neighbourhood setting, we are limiting ticket sales,” says Ciotoli. “We have had a great response about the event from the community as well as our friends across the border. There has been a tremendous amount of support and excitement around the event and we are very excited about it.”

Tickets can be purchased online here.
