Windsor Police have released surveillance footage of a man being assaulted and robbed in West Windsor.

A University of Windsor student was walking eastbound on Wyandotte Street West near Rankin Avenue when he was confronted by two black males.

Police say the video showed three males on the corner of Rankin and Wyandotte approximately an hour before the assault took place.

Staff Sergeant Chris Dupuis says the video shows a male with a white shirt punching the victim once to the mouth, breaking his jaw.

The fight continued until the two males were successful in pulling the computer bag from the victim’s shoulder.

Dupuis says a third male was seen earlier but was not involved in the robbery.

Police are asking for the public’s help to identity the males from the video.
