Windsor Police are investigating a shooting in the west end of Windsor.

Police say that just before 6am Sunday, an ambulance crew was clearing from a call in the area of Peter Street and South Street when a male collapsed in front of them.

Examination of the male revealed that he had been shot.

Police believe the man was shot in the 3400 block of Cross Street.

Police were called, and the victim was transported to Hotel Dieu Hospital, where he is being treated for non life threatening injuries.

Police say that the victim, a 24-year-old Hamilton resident, is not co-operating with their investigation.
