Leamington OPP have charged a 23-year-old after he allegedly crashed into a cottage at Point Pelee.

Officers arrived in the 900 block of Point Pelee Drive around 7pm Sunday and observed a 2013 Dodge Ram pickup truck pressed up against a cottage with severe damage to both vehicle and cottage. The cottage was pushed approximately 2 feet from its foundation.

Justin Slock of Leamington received minor injuries and was taken to Leamington District Memorial Hospital, treated and later released.

Slock was charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Exceed 80 Mgs Blood Alcohol Content and Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle.

There were no other injuries reported.
