Two people escaped in jury after their plane crashed on Thursday afternoon.

Police say that just before 5pm, a 58-year-old Dover Township man was attempting to land his Cessna 172 plane when he encountered problems with his braking system.

The plane crashed into a cornfield next to the runaway on Knoll Road causing the plane to flip.

Neither the pilot nor his female passenger were injured.

Total damages were estimated at $30,000. There will be no charges laid.
