Windsor Police are looking for two suspects after a man was punched and robbed near the University.

Police were called just after 2am this morning to Wyandotte West and Rankin.

A 33-year-old victim indicated that he was walking East on the South sidewalk with his head down. He heard a male ask him “What you got?” When the victim looked up he was punched in the face and he fell to the ground. The suspects kicked the victim and repeatedly asked for cash.

Police say the suspects removed a black shoulder bag from the victim that contained school supplies and a cheque. The suspects were last seen running South on Rankin Avenue. Police checked the area with negative results.

Both suspects are described as being male black with a large build in their 30’s.
