A Chatham mas has been charged after an accident Wednesday afternoon.

Chatham-Kent police say that a 37-year-old Chatham man was driving a seed corn cutter eastbound on Rivard Line when a 73-year-old Windsor man driving a motorcycle attempted to pass him.

The Chatham man turned left into a field and collided with the motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle was transported via ambulance to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance with serious injuries. The driver of the farm machinery was not injured.

Total damages are estimated at $3,000.

The Chatham man has been charged with making a turn not in safety.
