During the month of July, a Windsor Police traffic blitz targeted red lights and stop signs.

During the campaign police say that there was a notable decrease in motor vehicle accidents and injuries in comparison to the previous month. Police credit a combination of media attention, enforcement and education has contributed to the reduction.

During July, there were over 300 charges laid in relation to stop signs and red lights. Policed say that these numbers represent a 39% reduction in injury motor vehicle accidents compared to June. Overall, motor vehicle accidents were reduced by 22% compared to June 2013.
