Just after noon today, the Chatham-Kent OPP were called to the 401 Highway westbound at Queens Line for a report of a single vehicle collision in the centre median.

Police say that their investigation revealed that the driver of a 2006 Chrysler Town and County minivan that was travelling eastbound on the 401 missed her exit. The vehicle drove through centre median in an attempt to get back on track. The vehicle then continued to drive eastbound, on the westbound side of the 401 Highway and eventually stopped in the centre median.

The driver Christine Heraiz, a 24 year old Leamington woman has been charged with careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act.

No injuries were reported.
