Tug Across The Detroit River Is Friday

This Friday afternoon, head down to Dieppe Gardens and cheer on team Canada at the 2013 edition of the annual Tug Across The River.

Team Canada will take on Team USA who is staged on the other side of the river at Detroit’s Hart Plaza. Each team will pull in a length of rope from the middle of the river, and the team who does it the fastest wins.

Team Detroit is leading against Team Windsor after twenty-seven years of the event: the Americans have won 14 times and the Canadians have won 13 times.

The tug takes place at 5:45pm.
