Windsor Police are still looking for information about the murder of Dale Young that took place a year ago.

On June 28th, 2012 Windsor Fire Service and Police were called to 828 Louis Avenue for a residential fire. The fire was called in by a neighbor who had smelled smoke.

Fire crews arrived and quickly extinguished the blaze. The body of a male was then pulled out of the residence and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say that signs of trauma were evident and investigators quickly determined that the victim died as a result of homicide. Their investigators have determined that the victim was murdered days prior to the fire.

Police say that Mr. Young was a Windsor resident and had resided at that address for the past two years. He was divorced and is the father of four adult children.

Investigators also say that a computer belonging to the victim had been stolen from his residence. This computer has not been recovered and investigators are requesting the public’s help in locating it.

The computer is a small Acer Aspire Netbook. It is 10.1 inches in width and is black in colour with grey lettering across the front. The manufacturer’s name “acer” is on the top left corner. The model name “ASPIRE one” is in larger letters across the front with a circular water rippling pattern.

Investigators request anyone with information regarding this computer and/or the murder of Dale Young to contact the Windsor Police Major Crime Unit at 519-255-6700 ext 4390 or Crime Stoppers.
