Several side streets in Walkerville and areas near Downtown will be repaved soon under a priority plan by Councillor Alan Halberstadt that will cost a total of $1 million dollars.

The following streets are on the repaving list:

  • Langlois from Assumption to Riverside
  • Chilver from Ottawa to Richmond
  • Hanna from Elsmere to Parent
  • Tuscarora from Aylmer to Marentette
  • Argyle from Ontario to Ottawa
  • The alley between Howard and Lillian between Erie and Giles
  • Erie Street where it forms a dead end off of Lincoln
  • Via Italia Streetscaping

Funding for the project comes from a one million dollar City Council allocation to each of Windsor’s ten municipal wards for projects deemed necessary to neighbourhoods. The project must still be approved by City Council.
