Chatham OPP have arrested and charged the driver of a transport truck after he was pulled over on Saturday.

Just after 1:30pm, OPP received numerous complaints from concerned motorists about the erratic driving behaviour of a tractor-trailer, that was eastbound on the 401 from Tilbury.

The OPP located the transport truck which was swerving across the lanes of the 401. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was showing signs of impairment by alcohol. Alcohol test revealed that the driver was double the legal limit. The fully loaded rig was towed from the scene.

Gurdip Grewal, a 61 year old Stoney Creek, Ontario man has been charged with Impaired Operation / Motor Vehicle / Alcohol and Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content / Motor Vehicle under the Criminal Code.
