UPDATED: OPP say that the 26 year old male killed in a collision with a CP Rail Freight train yesterday, has been identified as Tecumseh resident Thomas Little.

OPP Constable Stephanie Moniz says the 26-year-old driver of the vehicle has passed away.

Moniz says an eastbound CP Rail freight train collided with the northbound Ford Explorer. The 26 year old, single male occupant of the Explorer, from Tecumseh, was taken to Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital by EMS but pronounced dead a short while later.

His name has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.

The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators along with CP Police are currently investigating and are expected to remain on scene for the next hour. Wallace line remains closed between Essex County Road 22 and Essex County Road 42.
