Representatives from Windsor & Essex County Crime Stoppers have returned from the Provincial Crime Stoppers Conference in Sault Ste. Marie with a most prestigious award.
Program Manager Ron Funkenhauser says Windsor-Essex received the Marla Moon Award which he calls the “Stanley Cup” of awards. It’s awarded yearly to the best overall program in the province with a population of over 300,000.
Windsor & Essex County Crime Stoppers also took home the Social Media Award and a Special Project Award for being the first program to initiate “Take Back Your Drugs Day”.
