Tuesday Evening, Public School Board trustees approved the recommendations proposed by a committee which studied the boundaries of three schools in Lakeshore for the past three months.
The boundaries of Lakeshore Discovery School, Belle River Public School and Centennial Central Public School (Comber) will be changed beginning in the 2014-15 school year. The adjustments will affect approximately 350 students.
Belle River Public School will also become a dual track English school in September 2014.
The board says that these changes will reduce enrolment pressure at Lakeshore Discovery School, improve utilization of student spaces in the area and provide better access to French Immersion for students in Lakeshore.
