A woman in Chatham-Kent was charged after being clocked going almost 100 km/h over the posted speed limit yesterday.
Police say that they responded to the complaint at approximately 10:35am on Tecumseh Line in the Jeanette’s Creek area.
Police clocked a white Pontiac Grand Am traveling eastbound at a rate of speed of 157 km/h in the posted 60 km/h zone.
The 19-year-old female driver was subsequently stopped and charged with speeding 157 km/h in a 60 km/h zone, stunt driving, driving while under suspension, failing to surrender permit for motor vehicle and failing to surrender insurance card.
Her vehicle was also seized for a seven-day period.
