Chatham-Kent police have charged a Wheatley man following a disturbance in March.

Police say that on March 30th, a 23-year-old Wheatley man reported to police that he had been assaulted earlier in the evening while at an establishment in Wheatley.

It is alleged that the man was punched in the face by another man following a discussion. The man sustained minor injuries and attended a local hospital for medical attention.

On Tuesday morning, Trevor Grieve, 23 years of Leroy Street in Wheatley was arrested, and charged with assault.

He has been released with conditions pending a future court date.
