Police in Chatham-Kent have charged a Wallaceburg man with child pornography offences.

Police say that the investigation took place in April and May and involved the Internet Child Exploitation Units from the Chatham-Kent Police Service, as well as Windsor Police.

On Monday, a search warrant was executed at a Wallaceburg address. Upon entry into the residence, officers discovered that a male within the residence was actively watching and simultaneously downloading child pornography.

As a result of that warrant, 51-year old Denny Raymond McGee was arrested and charged with Accessing Child Pornography and Possessing Child Pornography.

Three computers and numerous external storage devices were seized for analysis.

He was released with conditions pending a future court date.
