The area of Tecumseh and Highland as seen in Google Earth

Police were called last night around 10:15pm by a 17-year-old male who wanted to report he had been robbed of his cell phone.

Officers met the male who told them that he was walking home in the area of Tecumseh East and Highland. Police Staff Sergeant Steve Bodri says the victim was cutting through the rear parking lot of Internal Duct Cleaning at 448 Tecumseh Road East where he was accosted by two males.

Bodri says the suspects asked to use the victim’s cell phone and a short while later punched the victim in the face, stunning him. The suspects then searched the victim for money and after finding none they left the area travelling southbound on Highland.

The victim sustained a sore jaw but no serious injuries.

The area was checked by officers including the K-9 Unit but no suspects were located.

Suspect 1 was described as a black male with dark skin, about 17 years old. He was about 6 foot tall with a thin build and short hair. He was wearing a green and yellow long sleeve shirt, a grey snap back hat and army cargo shorts.

Suspect 2 was described as a white male, about 17 years old, also 6 foot tall with short hair and a medium build, wearing white dress pants and a burgundy sweater.

Anyone who may recognize these suspects are urged to contact police or call Crime Stoppers.
