Chatham Police have arrested two people after they allegedly witnessed a man and a woman trafficking crystal meth.

On May 21st officers were at a residence on King Street East in Chatham for an unrelated investigation when they observed a man and woman believed to be involved with the trafficking of illegal drugs.

The woman was immediately arrested. The man fled the area of foot and was observed throwing away a package of crystal methamphetamine.

The man and woman’s vehicle was also searched resulting in cash, crystal methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia being seized.

Total street value of the drugs seized was approximately $1350.

On May 22nd police located the man at a residence on Harvey Street in Chatham and he was arrested. Through investigation, officers learned that the man was currently bound by a condition stating that he was not to be in possession of any drugs or controlled substances as defined by the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Anthony Mills, 24 years, of Kennedy Road in Scarborough has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine and failing to comply. He was released with conditions pending a future court date.

Dawn Randall, 29 years, of Harvey Street in Chatham has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine. She was released with conditions pending a future court date.
