Windsor Police have arrested a man after an incident involving a shotgun.

On Sunday May 20th around 10:20pm, Windsor Police were dispatched to the 400 block of Church Street for a domestic violence call. Upon arrival Police say officers learned that the suspect had threatened to kill his girlfriend with a shotgun. The house was cordoned off, and all the occupants were eventually ordered out of the house safely.

Police say they learned that earlier in the evening a shotgun was discharged in the basement unit of the residence.

Windsor Police executed a search warrant for this residence for an outstanding shotgun and ammunition.

A BB gun replicated to look like a pump action shotgun was located along with live shotgun and rifle ammunition. A ground search of the area around the house and neighborhood for any additional weapons or evidence was unsuccessful.

Windsor Police believe a 12 gauge shotgun may be outstanding. The public is reminded that if a firearm is located to immediately call the police at 911.

These items should not be handled for obvious safety reasons. If anyone has additional information concerning this case please contact Windsor Police Investigations Branch at 519-255-6700 ext. 4830 or Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477.

Joshua Steven Walsh, a 24 year old Windsor resident, was arrested and charged with Utter Threats to Cause Death and Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose.
