Members from the Windsor Police Morality Unit commenced an investigation in March 2013 after receiving complaints from an 18 year old female victim. The investigation has revealed that the victim was enticed into dancing at a local Adult Entertainment club and was taken to the Toronto area where she was allegedly coerced to engage in acts of prostitution.

Two male suspects were identified in relation to the investigation. Arrest warrants were issued for the men on May 13th and they were both arrested in the Toronto area last week.

Jerome Barron Dorsey, 25 years of age of Oshawa is charged with Trafficking in Persons.

Merrick Anthony Dennis, 27 years of age of Oshawa is charged with Trafficking in Persons and Exploitation.

This is the first time Windsor Police have used this legislation. Police believe there may be other victims of Human Trafficking in the community and strongly encourage anyone with information to call police at (519)-255-6700 ex 4344 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at (519)-258-TIPS (8477).
