The massive fire at Sprucewood Industries has been contained by Windsor Fire, but they remain on scene putting out several hot spots.

Windsor Mayor Eddie Francis has declared the State of Emergency, caused by the fire on Sprucewood Avenue, to be over.

Health officials have determined the air quality to be acceptable and do not anticipate that changing through the night therefore the “stay in place” request has been lifted.

The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services Team has been on scene providing food and water to Windsor Firefighters all evening long, and Tecumseh Fire provided fire protection for the east end of Windsor.

There is no word on how the fire started.
