No one was injured and damage is not major after a wall caught fire at the rear of a business in the 1600 block of Tecumseh Road East, early Tuesday morning.

Windsor Firefighters were called just after 1am and found fire spreading up a wall of a mixed commercial/residential building.

The fire, which appears to have originated from garbage bins next to a wall, was out within minutes and crews thoroughly washed down a gap between the building’s exterior siding.

The fire did not spread to the interior of the building but crews were required to remove some smoke from an apartment unit.

Damage is estimate at $30,000, and the cause is listed as undetermined at this time.
