The sexual exploitation of children on the internet continues to pose significant risk to Ontario children, and children worldwide.

Police officers investigating these crimes report that the children being targeted in these types of crimes are getting younger and younger and the sexual abuse of these children is becoming more violent. Most victims of this child sexual abuse remain unidentified.

Police remind the public to continue to report cases of suspected child abuse to police. A report may result in the rescue of a victim.

The Windsor Police Service is a member of the Ontario Provincial Strategy to Protect Children from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on the Internet. The Provincial Strategy is jointly supported by grants from the Ministry of the Attorney General for Ontario and the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services.
