Amherstburg Police have laid several charges against a 21-year-old after a fiery crash on May 2nd.

The crash sent two people to hospital with serious injuries.

Police say that the crash occurred in the early morning hours of May 2nd at the intersection of Thomas Road and Alma Street. The car left the road and crashed into a rear yard of a residence, and then burst into flames.

Both people were pulled from the car just before it burst into flames.

Police have charged 21-year-old Dustin Allan of Amherstburg with these offences:

  • Dangerous Operation Causing Bodily Harm – Motor Vehicle
  • Exceed 80 milligrams Blood Alcohol Content – Motor Vehicle – Cause Accident with Bodily Harm
  • Impaired Operation – Alcohol – Motor Vehicle – Cause Bodily Harm

Police say one of the passengers from the vehicle remains in hospital with serious injuries. Allan’s next court date is June 18th.
