The bike path at Foster as seen in Google Street View

A cyclist was taken to hospital with minor injuries after he was struck by a car in the 1700 block of Foster just before 6pm this evening.

Windsor Police Staff Sergeant Steve Bodri says the 20-year-old cyclist was riding along a bike path which crosses Foster and “left the path and drove across Foster street without stopping”.

Bodri says a car being driven east on Foster spotted the cyclist entering the roadway and slammed on their
brakes. The car struck the cyclist in the area of the rear tire sending the cyclist off of his
bike.

The driver of the car was shaken but not injured.

The driver of the car is not being charged and officers are determining at this time whether or not the cyclist will be charged.
