The demolition of the former Grace Hospital has started.
Crews demolished the building’s smokestack on Monday.
The building’s carpentry shop, boiler room and the Brett Building at the corner of Oak and University will be the next parts of the structure to come down.
The full demolition is expected to take about five months to complete.
