Public Board Director Of Education To Retire

Director of Education Warren Kennedy, has announced that he will resign as director and will retire this summer after a 35 year career in public education.
“Warren’s energy, enthusiasm and passion for education have made a positive difference in so many lives”, says Board of Trustees Chair Helga Bailey. “We wish him all the best in his well deserved retirement.”
Kennedy joined the board in March 2009 from the Lambton-Kent District School Board where he was a teacher, administrator and superintendent. “My time with the GECDSB has been challenging, rewarding and extremely satisfying. It’s been a joy and a privilege to serve the students, staff and our school communities.”
Kennedy will continue in his position until August 30, 2013. Trustees will soon begin the search process for a new Director of Education.
