Police have one man in custody and are looking for a second after a foot chase Sunday evening.

Police say that officers who were on patrol spotted a 2001 BMW X-5 near the Portifino Condominiums at 1125 Riverside Drive West. Officers checked the vehicle and came across two males, one who was recognized as having an arrest warrant.

The two males fled and police gave chase. One of the two males was seen tossing two packages over a fence which was later found to be 35.8 grams of cocaine.

A 23-year-old male from Windsor was apprended however resisted arrest and had to be pepper sprayed. The second suspect managed to get away.

The 23 yr old male is being charged with a number of offences including possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of narcotics (marijuana and prescriptions pills). Police say he also had a number of conditions he was violating as a result of being released from court on other charges.

The 2001 BMW was seized and police found just over $16,000 in cash and casino chips. The value of cocaine is estimated at being around $3,500.
