Around 9:30 Wednesday evening, Windsor Police were called to the 500 block of Campbell for a report of a man with a knife.

Police say that for reasons unknown, a 35 year old male resident of the multi unit building was locked in the basement of the building by a 37-year-old male tenant of the same building.

The man was eventually let out by a third tenant, and then confined the suspect asking him why he locked him in the basement.

The 37-year-old suspect then became angered and held a knife in such a manner that the 35-year-old felt he might be stabbed.   He was able to get away and he called police.

When police knocked on the suspects door to speak with him, they heard an object drop to the floor. They arrested the 37-year-old suspect for having a weapon dangerous to the public peace and recovered the knife from the floor behind the door.

The suspect is expected to appear in court this morning.
