The City of Windsor is tearing down some more abandoned houses as part of its ongoing Blight Mitigation strategy.

The house at 527-533 Chatham Street East had been declared derelict according to the city’s property standards bylaw and was demolished with all charges being added onto the property owners’ taxes.

Two other properties in the area also fall under the derelict classification and will be demolished. Total cost for demolition of all the Chatham Street properties is expected to be around $26,123.95.
