Amherstburg Police have arrested two people after finding drugs when their car was stopped for speeding.

Police say they stopped a car on Sandwich Street North for doing almost 30km/hr over the speed limit. Upon approaching the driver the officer could smell a strong odour of fresh cannabis marijuana coming from the car and a search of the car found almost 500 grams of marihuana and over $3000 in cash.

A 35 year old Windsor man faces several drug related offences and a 30 year old Windsor man faces several drug related offences and Highway Traffic Act offences.

Police say the names of two arrested will be released at a later date.
