A woman was arrested following a disturbance in Wheatley last night.

Police say that around 7pm a woman attended a residence on Lamarsh Street to pick up her son. It is alleged that when the man opened the door to allow the child to leave, the woman entered the residence uninvited and struck the man in the back of the head and then again in the arm.

Police were called when the woman left. The man did not require medical attention.

Just before 10pm police were able to located the woman and she was placed under arrest.

The 36-year-old Wheatley woman has been charged with break and enter while committing an assault. She was released with conditions pending a future court date of February 22nd.   No name has been released.
