In two separate cases on February 10th and 11th, University of Windsor students assisted Campus Police in apprehending individuals attempting to steal items.

Campus Police says that in the first instance, a student was working out at the St. Denis Centre when he observed a man stealing a bicycle outside the building. The student chased and apprehended the man. Campus Police was called.

In a second incident, another student detained a male trying to steal an unattended laptop in the Leddy Library.

Campus Police says they certainly don’t endorse students, staff or faculty getting physically involved in apprehending individuals, but they are thankful for the vigilance of students and assistance in these cases.
