1400 to 1600 block of Moy and Gladstone as seen on Google Maps

Police have arrested a man they believe is responsible for breaking into cars on Moy and Gladstone Avenues early this morning.

Police say that just before 3am, they received a call about a suspicious male in the area of the 1500 block of Moy who appeared to be going through cars.

When police arrived they found a male standing in an alley. Police lit up the male with a spot light and the male took off. Officers chased the male and located the male at Lincoln Road and Shephard.

The male has been identified as an 18-year-old male from East Windsor. When asked by police why he ran from them, he denied doing so despite being winded. The male said that he was at a friend’s house for a party and the alcohol he drank made him breathe hard. The male was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place and taken to headquarters.

During a search of his person, officers discovered a large amount of loose coins, a “jump drive” a leather business card case with business cards in someone elses names, a pocket knife eye glasses and other miscellaneous items.

When questioned where he obtained these items police say that he smirked and said that some friends at the party gave these things to him.

The male can not be charged with any theft or possession offenses at this time until such items can be determined to have been stolen.

Police are asking that if you had your vehicle broken into in the area of Moy and Gladstone to give them a call and report the crime.
