Massive Fundraiser Planned For I-75 Accident Victims

A massive fundraiser titled “WE Take Care Of Our Own Weekend” is in the works for the end of March to help support the families of those who were involved in the tragic accident last Thursday on I-75 in Detroit.

Organizer Armand Bumanlag says that tickets for the three day fundraiser will go on sale in two weeks time and 100% of the proceeds will go to the Barett, Greenwood, Hicks and Blake families.

They are still looking for dnations, door prizes, and big ticket prizes. Anyone that wants to help can email [email protected].

Here is a look at the current lineup:

Friday March 22nd – “Legends Live: A Night Of Stars For Angels” at the Serbian Centre at 6770 Tecumseh Road East starting at 6pm.
Las Vegas Style Tribute show featuring great tribute artists from Michael Buble, to Tom Jones, to Roy Orbison to Elvis through the decades. The night includes Dinner, dancing and music, along with a silent auction and raffles.

Saturday March 23rd “WE Rock” Concert for a Cause at Serbian Centre at 6770 Tecumseh Road East starching at 7pm.

The evening will feature a ‘laundry list’ of who’s who in the Windsor Essex Music scene playing great music and eats and drinks. Featuring performances by Kerri Brown, Dusty, Coastline Band, Living The Dream and Area 51. Games, silent & live auctions and a sampler food buffet. will round out the evening fun.

Sunday March 24th – “WE Are Family” Fun Day at the St. Clair Centre For The Arts on Riverside Drive west from 12pm to 5pm.

The family fun afternoon will feature bouncy castles, jungle gyms, crafts, kids entertainment with snacks and lots of family fun.
