The Arts Council Windsor & Region will be hosting another Sketch Night Event this Monday February 18th at 7pm hosted by illustrator Christy Litster in collaboration with ChurcHouse. The event will feature live music by local band Menos Mal at Gourmet Emporium located at 1799 Wyandotte Street East.

The Arts Council Windsor & Region is facilitating these bi-monthly Sketch Nights in partnership with local artists, businesses and organizations.
This group started in the late Fall of 2012. Spearheaded by the Arts Council Windsor and Region and encouraged by artists of all levels in our area to bring a group together of individuals who love to draw. Their mission is to encourage artistic expression and discussion with a basis to not teach but to learn from each-others individual styles.

“The theme is to create a collaborative atmosphere between artists and musicians. Sketchers are encouraged to draw either the band or to create something original inspired by the band’s music and the general atmosphere.” said Christy Litster, Illustrator and ACWR Sketch Night Host

The band will be performing while being recorded and photographed for an upcoming live album featuring local bands. Sketchers interested in participating in this fun and unique opportunity are asked to register with Arts Council Windsor & Region on their website.

The evening is free for all Arts Council members and $5 for non-members and requires pre-registration as limited space is available.
