A huge third quarter bolted the Windsor Express to a 122-103 win over Montreal in the middle game of their three game series Friday night.

The Express put up 37 points in the third, outscoring the Jazz by 20 points and erasing Montreal’s 55-54 lead at halftime. The Express jumped out to a 33-26 lead after the first quarter, but Montreal staged an early comeback, taking the second frame by a mark of 29-21.

Lester Prosper had his best game as a member of the Express, dropping a team-high 25 points, while grabbing 10 rebounds and swatting 5 blocks. As a team, Windsor shot 50% from 3-point range, helped by a 5-for-8 mark from Mike Helms and a 3-for-4 record for Chris Commons.

Helms had 21 points, one of six Express players to score in double digits. Darren Duncan battled through a flu bug to score 19 with 5 assists and 5 rebounds. Eric Frederick had a game-high 26 in a losing effort for the Jazz.

The two teams settle their series night at 7pm.
