Two UWindsor students, Veronica Jurkowski and Dan Brown have entered an international competition at Harvard called Girls Impact the World.
Their video features new paired classes that train junior/senior students to run workshops for freshman/sophomore students. The topic is Bringing in the Bystander – how to intervene on a potential sexual assault situation.
The group of students note that this is especially pertinent due to high incidence rates on university campuses. UWindsor is the first university in North America to institutionalize this process into curriculum.
You can check out the video here. They are also up for a People’s Choice Award based on the greatest number of Likes and Tweets for the video.
