Essex County OPP have arrested two people responsible for a break and enter on Main Street in Comber on January 10th.

Two residents of the home were awoken just after midnight to a male who had broken into their residence.  After a brief struggle, the suspect left on foot and joined a female suspect who had not entered the residence. The male resident sustained minor injuries to his face but did not require medical attention.

Emergency Response Team had tracked the suspects trail to a property on Knapp Road in Comber, approximately one kilometre from the scene of the break and enter, but after police surrounded the home and the occupants came out, it was determined they were  not related to the break and enter that had occurred.

Police say that arrested both suspects in Windsor on January 12th without incident.

Charged is Steven Cocks-Case age 25 and Kristin Lees age 23, both are from Windsor.

Both have been charged jointly with break and enter and commit the offence of assault with a weapon and possession of marijuana.

Cocks-Chase has also been charged with use of imitation firearm to commit an indictable offence.

Both parties have been remanded into custody.
