A man has been seriously injured at a construction site in Tecumseh.

Around 11:30am this morning, a 25 year old Windsor man was seriously injured at a construction site located at St. Clair Beach Retirement Community Centre, 13500 Riverside Drive.

At the time of the accident, the injured man was assisting a backhoe pull a large portable crane from the mud, when the man became trapped between the two construction apparatuses. The man was quickly freed and sent by ambulance to Hospital with serious injuries.

OPP say that during the time of the accident the man was employed with a roofing company, sub-contracted by the General Contractor, who has been employed to build the multi-level retirement home.

OPP and the Ministry of Labour are investigating, no foul play is suspected.
