Windsor Police are investigating after shots were fired at a home in the 1600 block of Cadillac just before 10pm, Friday evening.

Staff Sergeant Steve Bodri said that the emergency 911 centre received numerous calls reporting what was thought to be shotgun blasts. Both patrol officers and Emergency Tactical Services Units responded to the call.

Once on the scene, Police say that a residence at 1616 Cadillac was identified as an address of interest and the area was contained by police so they could investigate.

Tactical officers approached the residence in question and called out the occupants. Four people were removed from the residence and police say that some unknown person fired a shotgun at the front window of the home.

A forensics unit and K-9 were called to the scene to assist with the investigation. The residents were uncooperative with police.

Police closed off roads and sidewalks in the area for a short period of time and canvassed for witnesses.

No one was injured and an empty shotgun shell was located.

The investigation continues and anyone who may have observed anything at the time of the shooting are urged to contact police or call Crime Stoppers.
