Windsor Police say that a 46-year-old female and a 58-year-old male were attacked in the 8700 block of Riverside Drive just after 1am.

Police say that the victims have been uncooperative with them, however it had been determined that a male person known to both the victims attended
their apartment and assaulted them using a weapon of some sort, possibly a baseball bat and then used pepper spray.

The male received a four-inch gash to the forehead along with welts and bruising on his body, both male and the female suffered the effects of being sprayed with pepper spray.

Both were taken to Hotel Dieu for treatment of the injuries which are described as being non life threatening.

The 55-year-old suspect was arrested nearby for two counts of assault with a weapon and Break and Entering.

The weapon has not been recovered and police say that the reason for the assault is unclear at this time.
