Windsor Police have a man in custody after he broke into a home on Aire Place.

On Tuesday December 4th around 2:15am, Police were dispatched to a residence in the 1100 block of Aire Place for a break and enter and assault. Upon arrival police spoke with the 36 year old who lived there.

She said she saw a shadow walk past her window as she was watching tv. A short time later she heard banging on her door and then the door was suddenly kicked in. She recognized the intruder as being a neighbour. The man came towards her and began shouting threats at her and her son. At one point the man physically grabbed the woman and was screaming at her and threatening her.

Police say he was grabbing at things and breaking items. He then damaged a television in the residence and attempted to remove a door from its hinges. The man eventually left the residence and the woman called police.

Police attended the last know address for the suspect and he was arrested without incident and transported to Police Headquarters. While in his cell at headquarters, the male became aggressive and threatened an officer in the detention unit.

The woman complained of soreness to her arm and forehead. No medical treatment was required.

Ryan Joseph Kiteley, 32 years of age of Windsor is charged with Break and Enter, Assault, Mischief, Threats X3, and Breach Probation X2
